About Me

Tonstudio Inhaber Niklas Paumgarten

Hinterhof Records was founded in 2018, after one full year of planning and construction. It has always been my dream to run my own studio exactly the way I want it.

I finished my degrees in Computer Science & Economics (2008) and Sound Engineering (2010 SAE Institute) after writing my Thesis on “Control Room Acoustics” and have since worked as a freelance live engineer in local Clubs, on tour with Bands, as an Engineer for the Austrian National TV (ORF). I started teaching Live Engineering and Room Acoustics at SAE in 2012 and have been working on more studio projects than I can count. When I got the chance to rent an empty space that was perfect for the studio I had in mind, I decided to put all my efforts in the perfect working environment.

Meticulous precision and 100% commitment to my work are what drive me daily.
